We are always looking to hear from any bands, artists, or acts, who are interested in being signed by Lonely Hunter. As well as running a record label, we also provide our artists with publishing deals, and management services

Please read the following notes, before considering whether you should contact us.

Musical Style

We are an independent label, and put the quality of music far ahead of commercial considerations when appraising potential signings. Our policy is to work out how to sell the music we love.

Although we are an ‘indie’ label, for Lonely Hunter, this term stretches far beyond guitar bands. It includes singer songwriters, acoustic acts, Detroit Techno, Electro, Jazz and even modern Classical music. Just anything that excites and interests us.

However, neither are we music snobs. In our eyes there is nothing wrong with well produced, well written and performed pop music.

At Lonely Hunter we define ourselves by musical quality, rather than by musical genres

What we Expect from Artists?

As you will gather from the above, we are looking for talented artists, with something to say, or something different or original to offer. You will also need to be hardworking and committed. As you will already know writing songs takes a lot of hard work. Recording them properly takes a similar amount of hard work.

What do we offer Artists?

We can’t match the money on offer by the majors. However in today’s environment, as an artist, you must ask yourself what you really want from your musical career. Unless you are to high volume seller, then you have to be sure that chasing a major deal is really your best option.

At Lonely Hunter, we can offer you things that are very difficult to find with a major, even if you are an established act. Full creative freedom, and a genuine love of artists, and their music. Also we want to build long term relationships with our artists, and help them build a long term, sustainable success.

However, you should be aware that this process is the beginning of being signed, not the end. It is extremely unlikely that we would sign an act straight from a demo. Also you should know that this is not the only method that we use to sign artists. Personal recommendations, word of mouth, newspaper reports, and going to gigs are some of the other methods.
